This is the hat that goes with the boa scarf that I previously posted. I am in a hat making mood so I will post more as they are completed. I will try and post the directions along with them as well. This one is a variation of the beanie hat.
77 ch.
Row 1-5: 1 hdc per ch for first 26 sts. Create 14 chain and connect at st 40. 1 hdc per st till 77 sl st into top of row.
Row 6: 1 hdc per st for first 26 sts. create 7 chain. loop around previous chains connecting them all to st 33 in row 6. create 7 chain and connect to st 40 in row five. 1 hdc per st until st 77. sl st into top of row.
Row 7: 1 hdc per st. sl st into top of round.
Row 8-11: 1 dc per st. sl st into top of round.
Round 12: 6dc, dec 1st (yoh, insert hoop into top of next st, pull yarn through, insert hoot into top of next st, pull yarn through, yoh, pull through first 2sts, yoh, pull throug last 2 sts) *7 dc, dec 1st*. Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first 3ch.
Round 13: 5 dc, dec 1st. *6dc, dec 1st* Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first.
Round 14: 4 dc, dec 1st. *5dc, dec 1st* Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first.
Round 15: 3 dc, dec 1st. *4dc, dec 1st* Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first.
Round 16: 2 dc, dec 1st. *3dc, dec 1st* Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first.
Round 17: 1 dc, dec 1st. *2dc, dec 1st* Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first.
Round 18: 1 dc, dec 1st. *1dc, dec 1st* Repeat from *to* to end. Sl st into top of first.
Round 19: 2 dc into each dc to end sl st into top of first ch.
Finishing: With wool sewing needle and 8in (20cm) yarn. Weave in and top of the last row of double crochet around top of hat.
Hold beginning of yarn and pulll together until the hole is closed. Fasten off by making a knot and sew yarn ends in neatly.
to create fringe on bottom.
Row 1: 1 sl st around until you get to butterfly pattern. create 14 ch and attach at other side.
Row 2: *3 ch from 1st st connecting to 2nd st.* repeat from * to * until end.
